Three Layer Salad

Here is a healthy and delicious salad recipe made famous by uncle Zach + auntie Anya!

Serves 4 to 6

Step 1: Preparation

Step 1

Divide the following ingredients into 3:

  1. bag of young spinach leaves (approx. 1 pound)
  2. 2 pints of strawberries, cut into small pieces about 1/3 inch
  3. 1 pound of cream goat cheese (can substitute with spicy Havarti or Gouda)
  4. 1 sweet yellow or red pepper, cut into small pieces about 1/3 inch
  5. half of an English cucumber, cut into small pieces about 1/3 inch
  6. optional: 1 or 2 cans of mandarin slices
  7. optional: 2 table spoons of finely cut walnuts

Step 2Step 2: First layer

Create a first layer of ingredients:

  1. spinach
  2. chesse
  3. red pepper & cucumber
  4. strawberries & optional mandarin slices
  5. optional walnuts

Do not mix the ingredients!

Step 3Step 3: Second Layer
Create another layer of ingredients:

  1. spinach
  2. cheese
  3. red pepper & cucumber
  4. strawberries & optional mandarin slices
  5. optional walnuts

Press the layers down if you need more space in the bowl.

Step 4Step 4: Final Layer
Create the final layer of ingredients:

  1. spinach
  2. cheese
  3. red pepper & cucumber
  4. strawberries & optional mandarin slices
  5. optional walnuts

Ensure the top layer is mixed showing all the colours for great presentation.

Step 5Step 5: Serve

Serve with vinegar + oil or your favorite dressing.
Dish out directly onto the plate then pour dressing over.
Store leftovers (without dressing) in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
